Hello everybody from my hotel room in glamorous Newark, NJ! It’s been a little crazy here with the concert and traveling en masse around Manhattan, and I almost skipped doing the post this week, but Stephanie in all her wisdom suggested we do a Nerd Herd supplied post. So without further ado, the picks of the lovely ladies who joined us this weekend for BTS.
In less than a week, many of the ladies here at Kchat Jjgae will descend on Newark, New Jersey to see the Bangtan Boys. We are, as SaraG puts it, fizzy with excitement. So fizzy in fact, that Stephanie gave me special dispensation to cover the lot of them for this week’s Khottie.
The time has come, my loves, to talk about Ultimate Biases. The bias that has to be removed from any bias game list because they always win, no matter what. The bias that is like your favorite food, your favorite song and your favorite book all rolled into one. The bias where you’d happily wear a commitment ring (but don’t because you don’t even wear your own wedding ring and you don’t want to have that discussion with your husband. Also, you’re not 13.). Fair warning, this post will have exactly zero chill.
Good Evening everyone, my name is Stephanie and I will be your purveyor of Khottie this week. Your usual hostess, KpopontheDL had some pressing business she needed to take care of, so she left you in my capable hands. How about we all sit back and and enjoy the k-ride.
For those of you looking for the young and hot. Perhaps this is not your post. Come back next week when KpopontheDL will be dishing out the barely Kchat Legal. Read more
So… I was supposed to cover somebody else this week, because we’re leading up to a big concert, but I looked at the Kchat Jjigae Khottie Birthday Calendar (it does actually exist) and spotted Monsta X’s Wonho’s 24th birthday happening this week.
It’s Kpop season! Everybody and their little brother is touring, basically on top of each other, and we have gorgeous idols scheduled to arrive on our shores on an almost weekly basis. /begin rant Somebody needs to explain to Korean entertainment companies that most American fans are not single fandom, and that we would happily give them all of our money if they would space themselves out in such a way that we could actually do that. /end rant Aaaanyway, SHINee is the next big group to be touring here, so now is the perfect time for me to cover their prince, Minho.
In less than a week I will be joining Stephanie, and a few friends, to see B1A4 in New York! I’m so excited! I get to put my hands all over them, and by all over them, I mean I get to give them a high five. A high ten, if we’re really lucky. /sigh So, in honor of that, this week will be Khottie cutie, Baro. Dun. Dun. Dun-dun. Dun Dun-dun. Dun Dun!
It’s Khottie. A time to celebrate. Khottie, time to put our tears and sadness of the impending loss of Seung Hyun and Junsu. It’s time to buck up. Remember the good things. Remember the good times. All the happiness that they brought us. All the goodness and light. Let’s not cry our friends. Let us rejoice in our love.

I always like to fulfill Khottie of the Week requests if I can (keep that in mind y’all), and this week Stephanie came to me with TWO suggestions. One is a surprise because I will probably use it next week, and the other was EXO’s singer and actor, D.O., also know as Kyungsoo.
In general, I am not the kind of person who believes in fate, but this week was one of those rare times where my choice of Khottie felt like a Kdrama. I was watching Love for a Thousand More, and Seungyoon, who plays the lead, and who I had never paid attention to before, piqued my interest. I started digging around for pictures and information about him, and discovered that this week was his birthday. It was meant to be.
