Jhottie of the Week: Shiraishi Shunya

Khottie of the Week

All the dramas I’ve been watching lately seem to keep falling pretty high on the angst scale. They’re all great dramas and I’m thoroughly enjoying them, but sometimes a girl just wants a bit of fluff and romance. I put out a distress call to SaraG and KpopontheDL for some light-hearted fun and they each came back with a Japanese drama recommendation. Of course, I had to start watching both..and they are both providing the much-needed sweetness and light. Today’s jhottie comes from SaraG’s recommendation Good Morning Call, a truly delightful fluffy drama. It has two seasons and having completed Season 1 this morning, I’m eager to jump into Season 2 once this post is written.

Everybody, please meet Shiraishi Shunya.

He’s 28 and best known for his role in the Kamen Rider series (don’t ask me, that’s what I read).

In Good Morning Call he is oh so serious and cold.

So cold and distant that you want to hate him.

But you just can’t as you see his character grow and change.

Even though he rarely smiles…which is a pity as he is even more beautiful with a smile.

See what I mean…

Oh, and did I mention sexy.

See what I mean…

And tall.

And sexy if you missed it the last time.

And there is a bit of sweetness there too.

I wasn’t able to find any social media accounts so please share if you come across any and if you need to see more of him go watch Good Morning Call!

@s_shiraishikun – his Twitter. His page also has a link to his tumbler.

I love this show. Good Morning Call was the show that got me hooked on Asian drama and into kpop. Uheara-kun is such a tesundre. (Spelling?) What do you think of season 2? #ihatenatsume

      Thanks for the Twitter!
I finished off Season 2 quickly and really liked it. I enjoyed watching how the two main characters grew up a bit more. I would have to disagree with you about Natsume, I found both him and his character charming. Yes, he wasn’t always totally appropriate with those kisses but he was enjoyable to watch.
