I’m fairly certain the answer to my question of would you be excited about Park Shin Hye and Hyun Bin starring in a drama together would be HECK YEAH! You know I know you, Boo. However, is that din of woohoos the idea of them acting together or the idea of Hyun Bin being in a drama at all as it’s been three years since he’s graced our computer screens? Again, I’m going to go out on a limb and say it’s due to the idea of them in a drama together as one major Khottie and actually really good actor matched up with an equally famous and good actress? It’s enough to make Kdrama fans wet their pants.
….just a little.
Now, let’s not all get too excited here. Well. Let me reframe that. Feel free to get all excited about Hyun Bin’s return, that is set. He’s officially signed onto the upcoming drama Memories of the Alhambra. Here he’ll play the hero (obs) a competitive (and I’m sure genius asshole who has a tragic backstory resulting in him in coming down with that bad case of assholery which can only be cured by the love of the heroine) game designer who is betrayed by his business partner before he goes on a vacation to Spain.
Hey! Another drama set overseas? Sweet! The Package was beautiful and almost made me want to go to France.
What is in question is Park Shin Hye has actually going to sign onto the drama, as she is currently just considering it for her next job. Hmm… I wonder if the fact that she’ll be starring against Hyun Bin would be an incentive for her to sign onto the drama? She has to know that Hyun Bin will be a huge draw, but on the other hand, that’s a lot of pressure for someone. (Especially considering she’d be playing a heroine who plays the guitar and owns what is probably a very quirky off-price hotel in Spain.)
For some reason, I’m leaning that it’s going to be a big yes for her. I mean, who can blame her? It’s almost a guaranteed hit, right? I’m guessing it’s also almost a guaranteed must watch for you, right? Come on, be honest!
Go ahead and be excited, but don’t tire yourself out yet because we have a while to wait, Memories of the Alhambra is not scheduled to even think about hitting the airwaves until the second half of the year. So long to wait! Yeesh.
I joke, but this actually sounds like it will be a lot of fun and, as I’m a fan of both actors, it really will go on the must-watch list for me. Which will be nice as I haven’t watched a Park Shin Hye drama since Flower Boy Next Door!
