Dimples VS Dimples!

Casting News

Or at least that is what this new variety show should be.

It’s not often variety shows capture my attention as I’m not really variety girl… and most of them nowadays are sad, sad musical contest shows. (Shows like The Unit just break my little heart.) But when I see names being thrown around like Lee Seung Gi and Dimples? No idea what his name is, we just call him ‘Dimples, you know the younger brother in Life Is Beautiful’. Let’s see if I can make myself remember… Lee Sang Woo? Now let’s go check. BURN! I was WRONG. Lee Sang Woo played TaeSub’s Boyfriend in Life Is Beautiful. Lee Sang Yoon (Woot! Look at how close I was.) Also, look how I digress.

With a show casting dimples upon dimples? We’re sure to watch!

So let’s take a look at the premise which, I’m guessing is not look at us be adorable and super nice together… although if it were I’d probably be more apt to watch. The show is called All The Butlers — essentially famous guys going around to other famous guys and learning about their lives. Hmmm… maybe someone should have pitched to the producers watching adorable guys being adorable and super nice together. They could compare dimples or something. That show? I’d watch the crap out of that show.

The interesting thing about this is the fact that the show with the cast is being pitched to SBS — but SBS is being a little cagey about actually signing on that dotted line. It reminds me of the reverse of the usual drama, where a show and network are waiting for an actor/actress to ‘consider’ a new drama. It’s especially funny considering the fact that it was Lee Seung Gi himself who put the Hong Sisters through this very thing not too long ago.

The whole thing is also interesting considering the fact that Lee Seung Gi did finally sign up to that Hong Sisters drama and if he’s doing this too? He’s setting himself a breakneck pace now that he’s left the military. It makes sense as I’m pretty sure he did the same sort of thing before he went in there. Add on his music? Something tells me this guy doesn’t know the meaning of downtime.

Which is lovely Lee Seung Gi, lazy days are just lovely. Learn from us, you’ll thank us later.

I know you wouldn’t think you’d need more of a cast than Dimple and Dimpler, but also signed on are Yook Sung Jae from BTOB and Yang Se Hyung. Yook Sung Jae I know is adorable from some of the acting he’s done like The Village so he’ll fit in nicely with the other two.

I guess we’ll have to wait and see if SBS picks this up, but something tells me, with Lee Seung Gi onboard, it’s not going to be too long before we see it on the schedule… of course, if they’d gone with my Dimple Vs Dimple idea? We probably wouldn’t be in limbo right now.
