Yoon Shi Yoon back to TV? Just when I thought my week couldn’t get any better!
Oh. It’s from the team that did The Producers?
Awww… Just when I thought my week couldn’t get any worse!
I’d like to say, any Yoon Shi Yoon is good Yoon Shi Yoon, but you’re looking at the girl who dumped Mirror of the Witch four episodes in. Actually. Did I even make it to four episodes? I may have gotten squidged out and officially bailed on that show in about two episodes. When was it that she got the white hair and Yoon Shi Yoon got all stabbed? Whenever that was, that was when I was all “Peace out, B’s” and moved on.
It’s not like I hated The Producers, I think I actually made it like seven or eight episodes before gently drifting off into that ‘eh’ place in the sky. I realized I didn’t love the show, I actually disliked a bunch of the characters and ultimately wondered why I was sticking around. Well. I didn’t have to wonder. We all knew why I was there–Kim Soo Hyun–and not in a pervy way! No, he was acting the crap out of that derpy-overly eager character.
I just remembered. It’s been a while since we’ve heard from him. I wonder what Kim Soo Hyun is up to now? But that’s another post, this post is about Yoon Shi Yoon. Focus, Stephanie, Focus!
This is another attempt by the same Producers team at a drama, this time they are setting their sights on the world of Idols. Yoon Shi Yoon will be playing a top Idol who specializes on finding himself amidst scandals. It will also have Kim Min-jae playing a boy who instead of studying for the civil service exam as his parents want, he has his eyes set on becoming an idol.
The writer is the same person who wrote Potato Star, all three High Kicks, and Once Upon a Time in Saengchori. This does not really bode well for my interest. I tried Saengchori, didn’t make it through, I tried High Kick, didn’t make it through and heard that one of the High Kicks ended so badly that people haven’t forgiven them to this day. All in all, I guess it’s still wait and see for me, but I’m at least going to give it until we see a teaser or two before making up my mind for good.
(Although it’s sounding like I’m pretty made up)
Big Hit is aiming for a May release, however, nothing is set in stone and since May is pretty much right around that corner, I’m surprised they haven’t nailed that done yet.
