Help a friend out, my internet research skills are stymied. I stumbled upon a series of MVs released, one after another, beginning on March 2, 2017 that I am loving. Really, really loving. But I’m having a difficult time learning about the artist and it’s bothering me because I’m obsessive about stuff like this.
Dream Perfect Regime (DPR) has a lovely, simple website with an about section. This highly informative page lays out the project as follows – and this is a direct quote –
< DREAM PERFECT REGIME (DPR) IS AN INDEPENDENT, MULTI-GENRE MUSIC AND VIDEO GROUP. WE CREATE, DIRECT, AND EDIT ALL TYPES OF VISUAL WORK AS WELL AS CURATE ARTISTS STEMMING FROM A WIDE ARRAY OF MUSICAL BACKGROUNDS AND INFLUENCES. BASED IN SEOUL, OUR PRIMARY FOCUS IS TO ENGAGE VIEWERS BY PRODUCING A UNIQUE AND DYNAMIC EXPERIENCE OF BOTH VISUAL AND AUDIO OUTPUT >
Yep, that’s it. That’s pretty much the site. The music page is literally a picture of the album that they’ve most recently released with no other information. I know DPR have worked with a ton of folks including Crush, Amber, MOBB (Bobby and Mino), etc., and have released some amazing projects that I am extremely familiar with. But this new album, ‘Coming to you Live’ is being billed as by DPR Live and from what I can figure out, Live is the name of the actual artist. The collaborators on the album include Loco, Jay Park, Crush, G2, Dumbfounded, and Kim Hyo Eun and on the video that I am sharing with you today, Dean. It is an extremely solid album with MVs released every few days for the past couple of weeks. They’re beautiful, as can be expected from DPR, and each feel unique but with enough in common that it all fits together as a cohesive work.
I highly recommend looking all of the MVs, but for today, start with Know Me. Listen to it 60 or 70 times through, like I did and you’ll be in love…with the song, the video, the artist, Dean (again), all of it. It’s the real deal.
Let me know if you have any other information. I want it. I’ll trade you something cool for it….like a handshake or a wave from across the internet (I really don’t have much that’s worth anything, so those things are pretty special to me).
