Happy birthday Jung Jinyoung! The leader and vocalist for B1A4 turned 25 on November 18th. And, if you haven’t heard, B1A4 is coming to the U.S on tour in February!
Jinyoung is one of those fantastically talented idols who does a little bit of everything. He’s composed several title tracks and songs for B1A4’s albums, including some of my of my favorites – Baby I’m Sorry, What’s Happening, Lonely, Solo Day and Sweet Girl.
And you probably also know he acts. Stephanie and I, (OK, to be fair, me mostly) talked a lot about him during our Moonlight Drawn by Clouds drama chats. We were especially impressed by his action scenes. I think he should consider doing something Healer-esque next.
Turns out, he was nominated for several awards for his role in Miss Granny (Go go baby Jinyoung!). And he basically plays himself in Persevere, Goo Hae-ra. Which, in my opinion, isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
I was first introduced to him, before I even knew who B1A4 was, in Warm and Cozy with last week’s Khottie, Yoo Yeon Seok.
I was seduced by his cat-like looks. He’s totally my type.
So I was delighted to find out I got to have more of him as an idol.
And he’s just my kind of idol. Brainy, ambitious, just a little serious.
Strangely, while I prefer harder, darker, sexier, music; I just love B1A4. They make me happy. I will be at their concert dancing, singing, and fangirling my heart out.
As always, I fish around on the internet looking for a few fun videos to add to these posts. I’m 100% on board for anything called a Bedroom Concert.
Recently, Jinyoung had to fill in at the last minute for his groupmate, Sandeul, on Yu Huiyeol’s Sketchbook. This a fun interview and it’s nice to see Grown Up Jinyoung being this charming mix of idol/singer/actor.
Gosh, I love him. /sigh. I think thats enough for this week too. See you next week! And happy Thanksgiving to those of you in the States!
