What up Sara? This Musical Monday is all thanks to you! If you don’t know Sara (and why don’t you, Sara is delightful!) you don’t know that now that we’ve met in person she continues to send me song recommendations. As I’ve been trying my hardest to actually pay attention to what people recommend to me, I’ve tried it and I’m happy to say I have a new song to add onto my Man Feelings station.
Man Feelings. They exist.
Man Feelings is also one of the best types of music to listen to while writing creatively. And I’m not talking power ballads, no Man Feelings is a different sort of music, usually, I prefer my Man Feelings to be in the more Indie music bent. So, to attempt to recommend something to add to my writing list is a tricky beast, however, I’m happy to say, Sara, with her Gravity, pulled it off nicely.
He does like to visit those high notes every now and then, but for the most part, he keeps it in the lower, R&B-ish vein. (Let’s call it R&B lite, as I’d hate to even admit I might have softer feelings towards anything in the R&B field. I have standards people, standards!) I like the slow jam. (Gah, this isn’t even R&B lite is it? It’s full on Rmotherflippin’B, GDRAGON SARA, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME??) It is a nice sound that doesn’t take too much attention away from whatever I’m working on while, at the same time, making me do the weird slow jam head move (you know the one) while listening.
You did the slow jam head move, didn’t you?
