Let’s just get this out of the way now…
Do I have your attention?
Hubba hubba. Do people still say that? Its possible that I am old. Anyway, I wanted to make sure I grabbed your attention because Namgoong Min is a little complicated, but definitely a Khottie worth talking about. I first fell in love with him while watching I Need Romance 3. Look at this soft, puppy of a man!
Little did I know at that point, that he also plays a chillingly charismatic villain, like in The Girl Who Sees Smells.
He’s played scary guys so well that he’s left a few people feeling a bit unsure about him. I discovered that T-ara’s Hyomin had similar mixed feelings. She wanted him as the lead in her video for Sketch, but:
“[Namgoong Min’s] antagonistic acting left such a deep impression that I felt a little anxious when we were exchanging our first greetings. However, when we filmed my 19+ version MV, and he took the lead even in the skinship scenes, he made it comfortable for me.”
Have you seen the video? Have a tall glass of water nearby.
He’s so talented. He can switch between romantic lead, psycho, and goofball with ease. Recently he played a charming, and very funny, goober of a guy in Beautiful Gong Shim. I really enjoyed watching all the different facets of himself he got to show in the story.
And I cannot get over how cute he looks in glasses.
If you prefer seeing him sweet and soft and romantic, he takes a turn in We Got Married as well. That show is like fingernails down the chalkboard for me, but I’m tempted to watch it just for him being swoony.
Namgoong Min has been getting a lot of attention for his recent guest star in Doctors as well. I have not seen it yet. Is it worth starting the show for his part?
I think I need to go queue up another of his dramas. That may be my plan for this weekend! Enjoys yours! See you next week!
