We have a very important announcement! Those of you who follow us on social media may have gotten the blatant hint that Cherry and I have been working on a very big project—a project we’re Junsu-level excited for—and no, it’s not another episode of the podcast. So, if you could just pause and imagine one of those announcement drumrolls in your head before you read this, it would be greatly appreciated…
We are proud to present the Kchat Jjigae Shop!
Yep, Kchat Jiggae is setting up shop and is officially open for business. We’ve been kicking around the idea for a while, since our first and then second Kcon, when we would make our fun buttons to hand out. The thought came out, “We should make a shop!” then we’d laugh and shake it off. However, at this year’s Kcon, when someone asked if they could get the button as a t-shirt? Well, we looked at each other and said, “maybe it’s time start a store!” (Of course, then we waited another three months—because that’s how we roll here at Kchat Jjigae.)
Now, I’m all good with the pith and the ideas, but I don’t really have the know-how to put it together—luckily though, my partner in K-crime is Cherry Cordial who, when not watching or talking about watching dramas, is a graphic designer. With her know-how and my weirdo sense of humor, we make a pretty good team.
For now the shop includes t-shirts and mugs, with Kpop and Kdrama fandom-related humor. With these items you can warn all those around you about your imminent fangirling:
Your love of English subs
Or even proclaim your future intentions.
We have some sweet Running Man-inspired designs (well, actually, just the one, but we have more in the pipeline).
Of course, being Cherry and I, there is also a line of Love Sick-related merch.
GAH! Doesn’t that get you right in the feelz?
As we go along, we’re going to expand our line to more sayings and more products, including cell phone cases, computer skins, bags, and sweatshirts. If there is anything in particular you’d like to request, be it an item or a different band in the Future Mrs line, just let us know! We really want this to be a shop for all fans.
Proceeds of the shop will be going towards the cost of running the site and podcast, and then to any future giveaways and Kcon fan meetups. Since we just started the site, we’re keeping our prices at the lowest they will possibly let us, but this sale will end on 12/20, so tell your friends and family to buy them now for you for the holiday! 😉
