Show Notes

Cherry Cordial watched a lot this week. A Lot. While Stephanie didn’t watch as much, she watched a bajilllion hours of Lakorn-crazy she needs to rant about—which leads us to a lot of questions about Lakorns in general. We learned we have more questions than answers on this one. Due to our general chattiness about Lakorns and Kdrama, we ran long so the episode gets chopped. Be on the lookout for a bonus episode of everything else we talked about!

Stephanie should apologize to the following
  • Again to Jacqueline, sorry for the heckle—she’d like to say it won’t happen again but that would be a lie—and she never likes to lie. Which is, of course, another lie.
  • McFeeleys, by turning your lives upside down with your new Running Man addiction. Another lie!
  • To listeners—she may have referred to you all as her bitches, but only in the best way possible.
  • To anyone who, lured in by her description of Cubic, waste the bajilllion hours of your life watching this crazy-pants drama. A LIE! As she was also sucked in, she feels it’s her responsibility to do the same to others.
  • Finally, to listeners, sorry for the weird noise her mike was making during the beginning, it was in the wrong place and was catching up her P’s and T’s. A lie? Well, not really, but she does feel like Cherry Cordial should probably have told her that while we were recording and not right after…. 😉
Thanks for listening! See you next time.

I too would like to know more about Lakorns. Even though I’ve loved Full House, Love Sick and Kiss Me, the non-teen ones I’ve tried I’ve bounced hard off of and haven’t been able to finish one. I’ve also tried and finished 3 Filipino dramas and can no longer take them. It’s because of the way women are treated that it ends up driving me mad!

I too am an Ohm shipper but agree the Ohm/Mick relationship would have been so much better if they had just had them talk. I look at how season one was directed and then compare to how it devolved by the end of season two and just want to grind my teeth. A more skilled director could have taken the feels from the book and translated it so much better than it was. Honestly as much as I liked the series, I wouldn’t have liked it as much if I hadn’t had the book to fall back on for knowing what was going on in Noh’s mind. Also helped to fast forward through all the unnecessary girl fighting.
