Sunday, Sunday! Which, I’m not sure about you, but for me it’s a total lazy morning where I spend most of it lazing in bed, surfing my internet, berating myself to get out of bed and actually accomplish something. (Oh how I love a good bed laze.) One of my new favorite things is Facebook Memories. Every day I get reminded of how cool and fun I used to be. This one in particular I thought I’d share with you!
Turns out, at this time a few years ago, I had traveled from New Hampshire to NYC for the BigBang concert. I came in a day early to experience NYC, and more importantly, everything K-related. I wandered Ktown, looking at the bookstore which magically sold not only Korean books, but actual magazines filled with pictures of Kstars I’d only seen on my computer screen, Kpop CD’s (which I could not afford because they are hella expensive) and super cheap Korean movies. There was Face Shop with giant posters of Kstars, there was Korean restaurants everywhere (I’d never had Korean food before), and more important, real Korean people, speaking Korean around me. It was amazing.
For a Kfan from the backwoods of New Hampshire who had never experienced all of this before, it was a great moment. Now here I am, 3 years later, actually living here!
I might need some Korean food now–of course that would require me to get out of bed, so maybe not….
