It’s our one year podcasting anniversary! Which of course means we ran long. Like really long. I blame Cherry Cordial. We were going to split it into two but figured… nah.

I don’t think I found you guys till June but thanks for the almost year of podcasts! My coworker walked by and said “you are smiliey” I told her I was listening to something funny. I love the Who Would You questions I just alwasy take it so seriously that I have a hard time choosing but here we go I am going to try.
    1) D.O. and I would go somewhere we could sit (short boy/tall girl) and I could just look at his face, man I love his expressive eyes. Maybe we could do pottery painting, so I could sneak glances while he paints.
    2) You guys seemed to be grossed out about being a waredrobe person to a bunch of boys. But I don’t think you gave proper thoughts to the perks of having excuses to get close to them to say fix their tie. http://www.soompi.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/Gong-Yoo-dressed.jpg how lucky is this girl? I would pick Rain since Gong Yoo is not a singer.
    3) Reading to you I was at first thinking sexy voice maybe So Ji Sub but I think Gong Yoo will be my final answer.
I am just going to do a bonus I would love to work at the ice cream parlor with Choi Woo Shik I fell hard for him in Fool’s Love and I think we would have a lot of fun.
Congrats on one year! Keep up the good work, fighting!

Totally with you on the crack that is Lovesick! I can’t wait to see what they have in store for Earn/Pete especially 😀 They’ve got some really great chemistry already.

I’d love for them to get to that storyline already–everyone raise your hand if you’re tired of Jeed! And if you listened to the podcast, don’t forget to answer three of the questions to get entered in to the giveaway! I promise it’s a pretty good bag.

Ladies, this was a hysterical anniversary podcast and not just because I had a question on it. I really appreciated the recommendations – I was a little afraid of To the beautiful you and Hana Kimi because they just seemed so – implausible/awkward/weird (take your pick) – but I’ll give them a try.

This brings up a suggestion for another topic. Imperfections. You know, the seemingly verboten plot points. Awkward things that never come up in drama land but that ruin everyday life for us all. Periods, diets, bad skin, erotic dreams, weird hobbies, etc. I think these do get mentioned in Taiwanese and Japanese dramas but other than an occasional erotic dream in Answer Me 1997, I don’t think I’ve seen many embarrassing personal behaviors in Korean drama. OTPs may fall in love with their long-lost siblings but no one ever has b.o., braces or an unhealthy obsession with Pokemon. Okay, maybe the lead from Pinocchio had bad hair – but that got solved with one good hair cut.

Happy Anniversary to the show – thanks for the laughs and all that amazing drama land information! I always end up running to My drama list to add shows to my list after listening to the podcast.

Thanks for listening! In reference to Hana Kimi/To the Beautiful You, silly as it is, I think Hana Kimi is the better of the two. To the Beautiful you was cute and fluffy, but I felt like they lost something in the translation.

Humble Daisy, don’t forget to answer three of the questions we answered to get entered in the giveaway! (And I haven’t actually seen To the Beautiful You, so if it’s terrible, don’t blame me 😉 )

Who would I change out of a drama…… Shin Hyun Bin from Warrior Baek Dong Soo.. she was torture to watch. I kept making my own Dong Soo and Un fan fic in my head.
Who would I read my hate mail to me – Kim Seul Gi because she is epically awesome and would make me laugh
Name a high school drama that was upbeat with not a ton of bullying….. Tomorrow’s Cantabile was super cute and watchable. Left me feeling happy most of the time.

Oooh, yes please, continue the Healer love! I hadn’t rewatched any dramas after I had a baby last year, but after Healer, I immediately clicked Episode 1 and fast-forwarded to all the OTP scenes (plus some hacker ahjumma and awesome dad). In fact, listening to the both of you in post-Healer feels brought a smile to my face and makes me want to go back and watch it again!!

btw, thanks for answering my previous question! I think you guys said you were feeling ranty in that podcast so I hope it didn’t make you feel more rant-y… sorry! : ) Happy One Year Awesome Podcast Anniversary~~

Oh yea, the 3 questions. I don’t remember all of them, but I was thinking about what I would make and for whom. I would make aebleskivers because I’m always looking for an excuse to use my aebleskiver pan, and I would make them for Jung Ryeo Wong (sp?). She’s my favorite Korean actress, seems pretty down-to-earth, and she speaks English! I kept thinking of which hot actor I would cook for but then thought it’d probably be kind of awkward eating with them. They would know, and I would know i mostly chose them because they’re hot.

I would want to work with Choi Si Won at the ice cream parlor because he seems like a really fun guy and would probably let me eat all the ice cream flavors. Also because I like Choi Si Won and would love to spend some time with him.

Lastly, was one of the questions who you would take to prom? If I were 17, I’d pick Lee Jong Suk. He’s just young looking enough to not look too out of place at prom (but not actually a teenager since I am way too old for that) and for some mysterious reason exudes a sexiness. I think 17-year-old me would really enjoy staring at him the whole night. Plus he’d look great in a suit or tux. : )

    haha, fun!

Well since I assume we’re only talking Korean dramas right now, I’ll go with Cherry and say my favorite hero is Kim Boong-do. I just liked how steady and calm he was and the way he stayed true once he knew he loved the heroine. KBD is one kdrama hero I would actually date in real life.
Favorite heroine is Jang Hye-sung from I Hear Your Voice. I appreciated the fact that falling in love didn’t change who she was as a person. Yes, she grew up and became a better person, but the core of her character stayed the same.
My favorite OST is the one from Secret Love. I don’t listen to most OSTs, to ballad heavy for me, but I really liked the instrumental music in that drama.

Thanks Stephanie and Cherry. It’s been a fun year listening to you both.

There are three OSTs that I’ve listened to multiple times: Shut Up Flower Boy Band, Coffee Prince and You’re Beautiful. SUFBB I love to listen to in the car. Not only is it much harder than other OSTs but it has me loving songs that are barely heard in the drama itself. Coffee Prince is just plain old good especially if you love indie/folk music. You’re Beautiful was my first OST so will always hold a special place in my heart.

My Kdrama disasters are much loved by others but loathed by me. “Nice Guy” was baffling in the extreme and I never got past episode 7. I didn’t understand why a guy would throw away his future for his girlfriend and the rest of the twists and turns got so unbelievable that I couldn’t tolerate it. Total WTF for the whole time I watched. Add to it that watching the actress Park Shi Yeon is like nails on a chalkboard for me and it was something that makes me shudder thinking about it. One positive is the actress Moon Chae Won is now on my radar. I’ve really liked her in other dramas.

My other disaster is “Boys over Flowers”. I despise this drama. A drama that starts out with a student being encouraged to commit suicide is definitely not my cup of tea. Add in the rest of the bullying, lapses of logic, repetition of various unbelievable tropes to a ridiculous degree along with Jandi’s open mouthed eating multiple times an episode and you get unwatchable drama. I made it thorough half the episodes with liberal use of the fast forward button before giving up.

Like Lynette31, my favorite heroine is Hye Sung from “I Hear Your Voice”. Not only is she smart and is growing into the best version of herself by the end of the drama, but she also gets to live with Su Ha. Win win!

Crap – I was just re-listening to this podcast and realized that I’d missed your deadline. Well, I’m no winner but I’ll answer the three questions.

    1) I want to work at the fruit stand with Park Shi Hoo. He’s funny so work would be bearable, seems responsible so he’d do his share of work and not so young that I’d feel weird hanging out with him. Plus his great smile would bring in all the sales.
    2) I’d go back to my prom with Jang Hyuk. He’s a goof so I’m not expecting to be swept off my feet but his silly laugh and sporty personality makes it seem like we would laugh a lot and he wouldn’t be afraid to dance wildly. He also seems like he’s a gentleman in real life so you wouldn’t get ditched for a prettier date.
    3) My favorite OST is the Monstar soundtrack. I have some of the faster songs on my running playlist and the quieter ones on my napping soundtrack.

FYI, I did check out Hana Kimi (the Taiwanese version) and man, it is funny. I save that one for on the elliptical at the gym because I will stay on long enough to finish an episode. Thanks – I’d never have guessed that I would like it.

I’d love you to take the hero/heroine question and turn it into a full on episode – you ladies know so much!
