I bet you’re all like, “Oh yeah, sure after her big declaration of sticking around, she all disappears on us. What a loser.” And I say, hey buddy, chillax, no need to get all attitudey up in here.
Just kidding. Those of you who stuck with me are lovely, gooey chocolate filled cupcakes and I just want to bite everyone of you. Ahem….this is a bad week to be on a diet.
No, I haven’t abandoned you, although it was touch and go there for a while. But instead I have great news. For me! Thanks to my boss who told me how to locate a cache of my old posts, I haven’t lost as much as I thought! Oh, I’ve still lost lots but compared to Monday when I thought I lost everything? It’s like manna from heaven. (Or a big taco. Or a potato!) Anyway, the downside about this cache that he found– is that it’s disappearing fast. Like super fast. So I’ve been furiously copying and paste-ing as much as I can get my hands on.
I feel a happy dance coming on. Or maybe carbs.
But you know what cheered me up this week? Well, despite you guys. Did you know Amber came out with her first solo release?? YAY, Llama! For those of you who don’t know about my girl-crush on Amber a member of f(x), where have you been? I’m guessing you’ve been in the closet harboring one of your own. Well come on out, join me!
I had been afraid with last year’s almost debacle during the promotion of their last CD, when one of their members decided to take a break, that this was the last we’d see of Amber. As it’s not like I can see her fitting in another group, and, as much as I love her, I don’t see being cast in a drama.
Well, I’d like to see it, but if a casting director would let it happen? That’s anther thing entirely.
What I certainly didn’t expect was to see SM allowing her to coming out with her own CD. YAY SM! Oh, hold on a second, I threw up a little bit in my mouth after saying that… Anywhoo. Not only is it out, but as expected of my girl-crush, it is awesome! Check out this video for her song Shake That Brass.
Come on! How awesome was that?? Not to mention, it also has a sound we wouldn’t have expected from Kpop. Although, with as unique as Amber is, I guess is more expected for her to be unexpected.
And the video was just like Amber too, so much fun! I was struck by the cameos I was able to pick out from the crowd–mainly the two guys from Roommate (as I just officially caved and watched the first two episodes of the second season. Yay Jackson! Yay….man-child from G.O.D!)
I really hope this release sells bunches for Amber and they allow her to keep putting out her own music. I never really loved f/x, but I would totally listen to Amber alone, not just because of my girl-crush, but because it is my sort of music!
Oh–and seriously, where can I get my own pair of those giant sunglasses she wears?
