As the premier date for It’s Okay It’s Love is right around the corner (can you believe it’s next week? It’s almost enough to take the sting out of losing out on my weekly dose of Lee Seung Gi. Almost.) SBS has released an extended trailer, which is part teaser, part behind the scenes, and part maddening.
I officially give up on trying to understand what this plot is about. Gosh darn it, I have got to learn Korean so I can understand what they are saying. Why are they on TV? Are they in a group home? If not why are they all in the same house? I thought she was a therapist? If she is, why is she potentially having a relationship with her patient? But is he a patient? He looks like the usual full of it pain in the ass hero, but I’m not sure if that is a mental disorder.
And isn’t this done by the people who did Padam Padam? And That Winter The Wind Blows? You know, Mopey and Mopery? This thing looks fast paced, snappy, brightly lit, and fun. Did the director say “You know, I just can’t take another depressing sack of tears or I’m going to kill myself”? Or is it going to start out bright and cute and then make a sudden dark, moody change?
The drama looks great, and I really can’t wait to begin it. With KCON coming up, I don’t think I’ll review every episode like I did with You’re All Surrounded, but I definitely think I’m going to make time to simulcast it. I’m just going to cross my fingers that this is as good as You’re All Surrounded, cross my fingers that it doesn’t take a weird melo turn, and that Kwang Soo gets a fair amount of screen time.
Check out the trailer, what do you think?
