For those of us with a healthy (or unhealthy) Kdrama addiction, the holiday season means time with friends and family, decking the halls, all while being both holly and jolly. This, of course, cuts deeply into our kdrama watching time. And since it’s not good to go cold turkey, to stay away from the K-influence for too long–here are a few tips for sneaking some of your Kdrama obsession into your holiday.
Tired of deck the halls? All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth grating on your nerves? Try sneaking in some Kpop themed holiday music! I mean most people block out the Christmas playlist anyway–so really it’s only you who would know.
When it’s time to watch the holiday tv-time, cleverly suggest White Christmas. Family thinks they’re getting Bing Crosby but what they are actually agreeing to is a Kdrama thriller. Too late to back out–they’ve already agreed!
Forget family! Christmas eve is the next best thing in hot date nights!
Pumpkin? Apple? Nah, think cake!
And lets not forget, the holidays is one of the best times to recruit new members to the kdrama army. Instead of asking for a gift, ask for a loved one (friend or otherwise) to watch a drama with you. Get the butt in the seat and let kdrama do the rest. Worked for me! I arm twisted Kate into watching and now she gets in more than I do!
