And then I say–wait a minute. Isn’t this drama, Age of Feeling, a historical?
More specifically, doesn’t this take place in 1930’s Shanghai? I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure that’s what I remember. Which makes me look at this small collection of pictures and say? Really? i know they are small and basically are only closeups of Kim Hyun Joong, but nothing strikes me as historical here. Not his dress and certainly not his hair.
I’m not saying I’m any expert of Chinese or Korean historical fashions–but I haven seen Bridal Mask and a couple of movies–and it doesn’t really strike me as accurate.
I don’t know why I’m so bothered by this. Why should I care? Shouldn’t I just keep my mouth shut and be thankful we got anything? But alas–that’s just not my nature. I do hope that this drama turns out well for him. Or heck, I hope that this drama just makes it to the air, rather than lingering on the vine to die like City Conquest. At least this drama has a broadcaster in KBS and a possible time slot in January.
And speaking of Bridal Mask, guess who’s just signed up to the the female lead? Jin Sae-yeon. Who? Yeppers–the girl who played the ineffectual freedom fighter in Bridal Mask. *shudder*
Oh wait! Here’s a better shot. This jacket seems more historically accurate.
And while I sound really cranky. I do hope this show works out for Kim Hyun Joong. You know–because I luf him.
