Okay, so we did really well last time with our show requests. Out of the five shows I pleaded for last time, we were granted four of them. FOUR. We’re getting really good at this!
Considering the success of the last Plea to the Gods of Kdrama, I decided my next request would be for something near and dear to my heart. I’ve made a tacticle decision to only ask for one thing this time—that’s how important this request is for me. No, not just me, it’s important for all Kdrama watcher kind. Well. Kdrama watchers with a Roku box.
Okay, so here it is. Please, please, please Gods of Kdrama, create a Viki channel on the Roku box. Whew. There. It’s out there.
I can’t be the only one who feels this way. Yes, the Viki app is the only one which works on my crappy phone. Yes, I could watch Viki on my computer. However, I don’t really get the same satistfaction curled up with my phone or office chair as I do with being able to watch a Kdrama directly on my television set.
Normally it’s not a super big deal, a lot of the shows on Viki are also on DramaFever, which had a Roku channel. However, it has become very important. There are several shows which I can only watch on Viki, such as Queen In Hyun’s Man, Take Care of Us Captain, Ghost, and very exciting, Lee Sun Gyun’s new drama, Golden Time. Since we all know my love of Mr Lee Sun Gyun, I don’t need to tell you just how important it is for me to see this show. Not to mention, Viki has really increased the amount of Korean films on their site. Cute ones.
So, I don’t know what’s involved with having a Roku site. I’m not really the technical sort. I’m the idea girl, it’s up to the professionals to work out how to get it done. However, some of their shows are on Hulu as is DramaFevers and DramaFever has a Roku channel, ie Viki should have a Roku chanel. It’s only fair.
So this is my one plea, God’s of Kdrama. I know it’s a big one. However, you gave us 4 of the shows we requested last time. I promise if you give me this one thing, I would be eternally grateful. You would make this Kdrama addict very, very happy. And isn’t Kdrama all about making people happy?
